Founded by Ryan MacDonald, a former senior police officer and military veteran with almost thirty years of experience in policing, investigations, intelligence and incident management, Urban Crime was created to offer something different. Rather than simply talking about crime, we place people at the heart of the experience, providing authentic insight into how investigations unfold, how major incidents are managed and how critical decisions are made under pressure.

Our portfolio includes Noir on the Tay, Scotland’s newest crime writing festival, which celebrates crime fiction and brings readers and writers together through panels, interviews and special events. Through Inside the Crime Scene, we take audiences behind the police tape to explore real investigations, forensic evidence and the realities of modern policing. Meanwhile, The Briefing Room delivers immersive team experiences and learning events where participants work together to tackle realistic scenarios, test their decision-making and develop leadership skills.
